Mamma Mia!

Mamma Mia! at Des Moines Civic Center

Ever wonder who you really are when nobody's watching? Mamma Mia! follows a young woman searching for answers about love, friendship and identity on a Greek island, questions that don't disappear just because you've left your twenties behind. The musical uses ABBA's songs to tell that story, weaving familiar melodies into moments of discovery, laughter and recognition. Tuesday, May 4, 2027, at 7:30 PM, Des Moines Civic Center hosts a story that reminds you why musicals exist in the first place: to let you feel something bigger than the week you just survived.

Theater gives you permission to laugh out loud, sing along in your head, and forget about everything waiting on your phone. Mamma Mia! delivers that permission without apology. The music carries you through a story about people trying to figure out where they belong, and if you've ever asked yourself the same question, the evening will feel personal even though you're sitting in a crowd.

Bring the friend who needs a night that isn't about logistics or obligations. Bring your partner and remember what it feels like to enjoy something together without checking the time. Explore tickets for Mamma Mia! at Des Moines Civic Center and give yourself a Tuesday night worth remembering.
