Plan Your Visit to Casey’s Center

What are the seating options?

Casey’s Center accommodates sporting events and concerts with different floor and seating arrangements. The section, row and seat description on your ticket should be compared with the plan for that event. A hockey layout, for example, does not establish the concert-floor arrangement. The arena’s official information also describes premium seating options, which have their own ticket terms and included access.

Accessible seating is available in several locations around the arena. Ask about a suitable location and companion seating when purchasing rather than assuming any ticket can be exchanged at the door. If you need help identifying the right seating option, contact the Iowa Events Center with the event name and date.

Where can I park and how do I arrive?

Iowa Events Center parking entrances are off 3rd Street and 5th Avenue. The Orange Lot south of Crocker Street has accessible parking with entry from 5th Avenue. The venue directs advance reservations through JustPark and says its lots accept prepaid parking only through that service. Downtown garages and metered spaces provide alternatives. Check the current arrangement for your date, and do not leave a vehicle overnight in the venue lots.

Which arena entrance should I use?

The south entrance is at 3rd and Center Streets, and the north entrance is at 3rd and Crocker Streets. A skywalk entrance connects with the downtown network. Follow any entrance named on your ticket or event instructions, particularly for premium seating. Allow time for the walk from your parking choice and for the security line.

What accessibility services are available?

Guests can request assisted-listening headsets through Guest Services. The venue encourages advance arrangements at 515-564-8054 and asks guests to leave valid identification when borrowing a headset. Arrange accessible seating before the event so the seating location and your route into the arena fit your needs.

The Iowa Events Center’s sensory program includes the Lauren Daigle Sensory Room behind section 119 on the main concourse. Sensory bags containing items such as headphones and fidgets can be checked out near the north entrance by section 108. The program describes these bags as available without charge in exchange for leaving identification. Ask staff where to return borrowed equipment before you leave.

What are the bag and re-entry rules?

Bring one clear bag up to 12 by 12 by 6 inches or a clutch up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Medical, family and child-care exceptions require inspection. Expect security screening. Re-entry is prohibited after leaving the arena, so finish outside errands before entering.

Security checks may include walk-through screening or a handheld detector. Outside food and drinks, large backpacks, professional cameras and recording equipment are among the items prohibited by the venue. The arena does not store belongings rejected at entry. Check the full policy if you need to bring a medical or child-care item that would otherwise be restricted.

How do I prepare mobile tickets?

For tickets issued through the venue’s system, add each ticket to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet before arrival. Entry uses a phone tap; screenshots are not accepted. If members of your group arrive separately, transfer their tickets in advance so each person can add a ticket to their own wallet. Follow your seller’s delivery instructions as well, and resolve transfer problems before joining the entry line.

What should I know about concessions?

Concessions are cashless; bring a debit, credit or supported gift card. The venue identifies a cash-to-gift-card option at Overtime Tap in section 108. Food and beverage locations are spread around the concourses, and the arena’s dining page provides a venue-specific guide. Check that resource for the choices relevant to your seating area rather than assuming every stand will be operating.

Casey’s Center FAQs

When do doors open?

For most events, the venue says doors open an hour before the start. Confirm the instructions for your particular event.

Do children need their own tickets?

The general policy requires tickets for children aged 24 months and older. Younger children may sit on a parent or guardian’s lap, but some events require a ticket for every age. Follow the policy for your particular event.
