Maybe Happy Ending - A New Musical
Maybe Happy Ending - A New Musical at Des Moines Civic Center
A chance encounter can change a life that seemed settled. Maybe Happy Ending brings that possibility to Des Moines Civic Center on December 1, 2026, as Oliver and Claire’s separate routines give way to an unexpected adventure. Come for the curiosity of discovering what happens when two people begin to let each other in.
Written by Will Aronson and Hue Park and directed by Michael Arden, the show won the Tony Award for Best Musical. Its story gives you a reason to choose a theatre outing centered on connection: the uncertainty of meeting someone, the pull of companionship and the questions a new relationship can open up. Bring someone you would like to talk it over with afterward.
This December 1 performance begins the announced Des Moines engagement, which continues through December 6 on the official North American tour. For audiences exploring Des Moines theatre, it is an opportunity to meet Oliver and Claire through a musical rather than arrive knowing how their story will unfold. The performance starts at 7:30 PM local venue time, so plan your arrival before the curtain rises.
