A Christmas Carol at Stoner Studio Theater - Des Moines Performing Arts
Charles Dickens gave us Scrooge, the Ghosts, and a story about second chances that still cuts through the noise every December. A Christmas Carol isn't subtle about what it asks: Can someone bitter and isolated find their way back to generosity and connection? Iowa Stage Theatre Company brings that question to life at Stoner Studio Theater in Des Moines on Sunday, December 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM, using movement, music, and fresh storytelling perspectives to frame a tale you thought you already knew.
The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future don't just haunt Scrooge. They force him to look at the life he's built and the one he's wasted. Live actors give his resistance and eventual change a human form, inviting you to consider what it takes to choose differently.
Bring the people you want to spend December with. Let someone else supply the story while you sit together and remember why this one keeps coming back year after year. Explore tickets for A Christmas Carol at Stoner Studio Theater and give yourself an afternoon that honors the season's better impulses.
