Ballet Des Moines: The Nutcracker
Ballet Des Moines: The Nutcracker at Hoyt Sherman Place Theater
Some December traditions belong to your family, not a screen. Ballet Des Moines presents The Nutcracker at Hoyt Sherman Place Theater in Des Moines on Saturday, December 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM, bringing Tchaikovsky's score and Clara's journey to life with the Heartland Youth Choir. It gives a returning ballet fan and a newcomer a seasonal story to share.
Dance gives Clara’s story its movement, while Tchaikovsky’s score supplies the musical thread. The Heartland Youth Choir adds another performance element to anticipate, especially for anyone who enjoys choral singing as well as ballet.
This is Ballet Des Moines' Nutcracker at Hoyt Sherman Place, distinct from other productions across the city. One company, one theater, one story told the way this ensemble has prepared it for you.
Plan the afternoon with the people who make December matter. Let this be the tradition you keep. Explore tickets for Ballet Des Moines: The Nutcracker and make an afternoon for ballet.
