Derrick Stroup at Hoyt Sherman Place Theater
Derrick Stroup tells stories with the speed and impatience of an angry auctioneer. You get Saturday night with Derrick Stroup at Hoyt Sherman Place Theater on November 14, 2026, at 7:00 PM, where rapid-fire energy meets Southern storytelling.
Derrick Stroup is the Alabama comic who made The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon three times and landed his Netflix special Nostalgic in the U.S. Top 10. His delivery isn't slow-talking Southern drawl—it's sharp, fast and packed with detail that keeps you leaning forward.
Nostalgic digs into growing up as a 90s kid in rural Alabama: board games and parental chaos and the kind of partying that makes for great comedy years later. It's observational without being safe, personal without dragging, and delivered with the kind of over-the-top energy that makes live comedy better than streaming at home. If you've seen the Netflix special and want to know what comes next, a theater show is where you find out.
Bring the friend who appreciates a story with no leisurely route to the punchline. Make your next catch-up a comedy night, with Stroup supplying the Southern perspective and rapid-fire delivery. Find ticket options for Derrick Stroup at Hoyt Sherman Place.
