Bored Teachers at Hoyt Sherman Place Theater

How many times this week have you stared at a stack of papers, sat through a meeting that could've been an email, or smiled through a parent-teacher conference while thinking something entirely different? Bored Teachers brings its Is It Friday Yet?! comedy tour to Hoyt Sherman Place Theater in Des Moines on Sunday, March 21, 2027, at 3:00 PM, turning all of that into the kind of comedy that feels less like performance and more like permission to finally say it out loud.

Teacher comedians build their material from school life: staff meetings, papers, parent-teacher conferences, and the small absurdities that anyone who's worked in education recognizes immediately. The venue lists a thirteen-and-over age restriction and warns of PG-13 language. Comedy works best when it reflects real life, and teaching offers no shortage of material. Your own experience may give the material a personal starting point.

Sunday afternoon is an unusual time for comedy, which makes it perfect. The 3:00 PM start puts the outing in the afternoon rather than a late-night slot. Bring a colleague who gets it. Let someone else turn your week into punchlines while you sit back and follow the classroom observations. Explore tickets for Bored Teachers at Hoyt Sherman Place and give yourself the laugh you've earned.
