Winyah
Winyah at Wooly's
Five musicians from coastal South Carolina walk into a Des Moines venue on Halloween night, and the result isn't a punchline. Winyah brings southern-rooted indie rock shaped by Winyah Bay, the waters near where four of them grew up, to Wooly's on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 8:00 PM. Their sound carries Thomas Rowland's rough-edged vocals and songs shaped by the band’s coastal South Carolina roots.
Their debut album Lot to Learn explores growing up and life changes, subjects that don't age out even when you're past seventeen. A live concert offers another way to get to know that songwriting, especially if you’re curious about a band still building its catalog. Halloween gives you permission to do something different, and spending it with a band you haven't memorized yet beats another predictable night.
Foxtide is also on the bill, adding another band to discover. Bring someone who's tired of the same rotation and wants to hear something they can't predict. Explore tickets for Winyah at Wooly's and give your Saturday night a soundtrack it hasn't heard before.
