The Queers at xBk Live

Fast, catchy pop-punk has a place in your Friday plans. Their sound sits somewhere between the Ramones' speed and the Beach Boys' melodies, a combination that shouldn't work but does. Recordings like "Don't Back Down" prove you can keep things fast, loud, and catchy without overthinking it. If you grew up on this kind of music or wish you had, Friday, November 6, 2026, at 8:00 PM gives you a reason to hear it live at xBk Live in Des Moines.

Pop-punk works best when it's unpretentious and direct. The Queers deliver exactly that: a direct pop-punk identity with room for melody. North of Grand, a Des Moines power-pop/punk trio, and the Remote Controls open the night, so you're getting a full evening of bands who understand the assignment. North of Grand’s local roots also give you a Des Moines connection to follow.

Bring the friend who still remembers every word to the albums you played on repeat. Or come because sometimes the best Friday night is the one that sounds like the soundtrack you already loved. Explore tickets for The Queers at xBk Live.
