Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox at Hoyt Sherman Place Theater
A familiar pop melody. A completely different era. Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox turns Hoyt Sherman Place Theater into a time machine on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 8:00 PM, where modern hits meet vintage soul.
This isn't a cover band running through radio playlists. Postmodern Jukebox reimagines current pop songs as jazz standards, swing anthems, Motown grooves and everything in between. Scott Bradlee started the project in a Queens basement, building a concept that turns genre inside out: take the songs you already know and play them like they belong in a smoky 1940s nightclub or a 1960s juke joint. The result is familiar melodies wrapped in arrangements that feel both nostalgic and wildly creative.
The project’s century-spanning approach gives listeners several eras to be curious about. If you love the craft behind the song—the arrangement, the performance, the surprise of hearing something new in something you've heard a thousand times—this is your night.
Give your usual playlist the night off. Choose a concert for the pleasure of hearing familiar musical ideas take an unexpected turn. Browse ticket options for Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox at Hoyt Sherman Place and take the musical detour.
