Mannheim Steamroller Christmas

Mannheim Steamroller Christmas at Des Moines Civic Center

Some holiday traditions live in your speakers all December long. Mannheim Steamroller Christmas has been the soundtrack to wrapping presents, decorating trees, and counting down to the 25th for decades. Hearing that signature sound live at Des Moines Civic Center on Monday, December 21, 2026, at 7:30 PM turns familiarity into something bigger: a shared moment in a room full of people who grew up with the same carols reimagined the same way.

Grammy-winning creator Chip Davis is behind Mannheim Steamroller’s distinctive approach to Christmas music. His Grammy-winning work gave traditional holiday songs a sound nobody else was making, blending classical structure with unexpected energy. That sound became part of how millions celebrate the season. Experiencing it performed live means stepping inside the music that's been playing in the background of your holidays for years.

This is the week before Christmas. The shopping is almost done, the countdown is real, and one evening can anchor the entire season in memory. Bring the family members who put this album on every year. Bring the friend who claims they don't do holiday events but secretly hums along. Give yourself a reason to pause before the 25th arrives and everything shifts again.
