Kenny G at Hoyt Sherman Place Theater
Some music doesn't demand your attention; it earns it. Kenny G built a career on smooth jazz that people return to when they need calm, romance, or a moment that doesn't require explanation. His saxophone tone is instantly recognizable, the kind of sound that can anchor a memory or set the mood for an evening. If his music has ever been part of a meaningful moment in your life, hearing him perform live at Hoyt Sherman Place Theater in Des Moines on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 7:30 PM gives you the chance to experience that sound without the distance of a recording.
Smooth jazz works differently in person. Recordings capture the notes, but they can't replicate the warmth of a live saxophone or the subtle shifts in tone that happen when a musician reads the room. This is music designed to be felt, not just heard.
Bring the person who shares your history with this music. Let someone else create the soundtrack while you sit back and enjoy an evening built around melody, not chaos. Explore tickets for Kenny G at Hoyt Sherman Place and give yourself a night where the music does the work.
