Everclear

Everclear at Hoyt Sherman Place Theater

Alternative rock from the Pacific Northwest doesn't just soundtrack a decade, it carries the weight of everything you felt when those songs first hit. Everclear brings that emotional catalog to Hoyt Sherman Place Theater in Des Moines on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 7:00 PM, led by founder, vocalist and guitarist Art Alexakis, whose voice defined a generation's frustration, hope and defiance.

Everclear emerged in the mid-1990s when guitar-driven rock was raw, loud and unafraid to dig into uncomfortable truths. The band built its reputation on songs that didn't sugarcoat heartbreak, addiction or survival. If you grew up hearing those albums, the live version reminds you why they mattered. If you discovered them later, a theater show is where you understand the intensity that made them connect in the first place.

Art Alexakis and Everclear deliver the kind of performance that pulls you back into the energy of alternative rock's golden era without pretending it's still 1996. This is music that refuses to soften over time, with Art Alexakis still leading the band.

Bring the friend who still knows every word. Make it a night that honors the music that helped you survive high school, breakups or just another Tuesday. Find tickets for Everclear at Hoyt Sherman Place and trade your usual evening for one that remembers when rock was loud, messy and unapologetically real.
