Drake Relays 2027: Schedule, Events, Tickets & Spectator Guide

When and Where

Drake Athletics confirms April 21–24, 2027 for the 117th Drake Relays at Drake Stadium. The outdoor stadium is on Drake University’s campus in Des Moines and also hosts football.

Use the official Relays hub for the 2027 program. A four-day date range does not tell you when a particular race starts, so choose your session after reviewing the detailed timetable.

Track and Field Competitions

Track and field combines running and field disciplines, so decide what you most want to watch. Follow the published 2027 event list rather than assuming every discipline or previous athlete will appear.

When heat sheets or start lists are available, use them alongside the session schedule. A competitor’s name, division and event help you follow the right race. Past results are useful background, but they do not confirm an entry for 2027.

Read the seating and access terms for the session you select. If you want several days, compare any available multi-session product with your actual attendance plan. Do not assume a pass, discount or reserved section exists until it appears in the current offering.

Drake Road Races: A Separate Event

The Drake Road Races take place April 17, 2027, before the April 21–24 track meet. They offer half marathon, 10K and 5K participant entries, including in-person and virtual options.

Planning Your Visit

Choose a session, then arrange your arrival around its actual start time. Review that edition’s directions, parking, entrance and item policies. Do not apply a Drake football parking rule to the Relays without confirmation.

Check the forecast before deciding what to wear for an outdoor meet. Keep your ticket and session information accessible, and share the correct date and meeting point with your group. If you want to leave and return, ask about the event’s re-entry terms first.
